1 pound bag of lentils (practical - 89 cents)
I'd spend the other $13 on stuff I could turn around on eBay to get my next $20.

1. food 20lbs of rice/7$ 10pounds of pintos/6.6 = 13.6
2. two gallons of gas = 6$
3. breath ments/hopefully less than fourty cents

I personally think that beer is both practical and frivolous. And, of course, what I would choose.

It is indeed! At least I was only a little frivolous by buying cheap beer.
